This page contains all my extensions for Alfred, the glorious productivity tool for Mac OS X. There is an abundance of extensions available at Alfred Extension Gallery.

Note: You’ll need the Alfred Powerpack to use any of these extensions. It’s well worth the price of admission!

host

This extension wraps the Mac (and more generally, UNIX) shell command /usr/bin/host and displays the output to a sticky Growl window.

It’s very similar to nslookup, but more concise.

Usage:

> host google.com
> host 74.125.127.103

Download the host extension.

ARIN Whois

This extension wraps the whois command and hard-codes the flag for the ARIN name registry. It then strips out all the extra stuff and pops the results in Growl.

Usage:

> aw 74.125.127.103
